After the sun has fallen below the horizon of the Gulf of Mexico, John’s Pass comes alive with scenic views, drinks and entertainment. After watching the sunset from the bridge, take a short stroll from the bridge to the boardwalk where lights bouncing off the pristine water will lead you to food and fun. Pirate’s Pub N Grub offers some of the best fresh dining options and a wide array of craft beer. A few steps east on the boardwalk, check out live entertainment at The Hut, or walk from the boardwalk through to village to De Losa’s, a pizza joint with a full liquor bar and outdoor seating. Just a few steps away from De Losa’s is the VFW. Don’t let the name fool you; it’s open to the public and is home to the cheapest liquor on the beach! Across Village Blvd lies Mad Pub; Mad Pub boasts the largest selection of craft beer anywhere in Tampa Bay! Two doors down from Mad Pub [and upstairs] is Mad Beach Craft Brewing Co; MBCBC is the beach’s first proper brewery. Further on down, at the north end of the Pass is Bamboo Beach Bar, the most outdoor seating and constant live entertainment. Those are just a few of nearly a dozen nightlife establishments within steps of each other inside John’s Pass!
